Banks' spacer/relocator is designed to do the same. Doesn't really matter how it's positioned, as pressure is pressure. The upside is that the sensor is no longer directly in the flow and catching all kinds of soot.
when I was in the army working on helicopters we used a media free particle seperator that cuased particles to go in one direction and air bent a 90 degrees or less.....I thinnk thus 90 setup will result in some deposits at the angle wall vs the map hole.
It was fairly recent that they offered it, I had been waiting and checking back..
So probably about a month or so I'd guess.. I got mine about 3 weeks ago.
I think the 90 degree approach will keep it a little cleaner/longer between cleanings than the straight vertical spacer (or so I hope)
I almost added the spacer to my BF order with the Ram air diff cover… is it really going to make any real difference though? Would the hole still not get clogged and filled?

I have the S&B spacer which adds space but no 90. It does keep the sensor clean.
i bought the banks 90 degree spacer becuase it had more metal surface area and I am hoping it will keep the map sensor cooler as well.
I used to clean them but recently no…found that they become inaccurate with chemical cleaning. I think I have 5 used ones ….they still work but are off by a few . At key on before start you can compare to AAP. The pcm puts up a p0069 if the map and AAP deviate by 2 for more than 30 seconds. So if you are off when cold, you don’t have any room to work with. Someone posted that this was bs because the pcm clicks the deviation by what the map was a key on….which doesn’t make sense because that would mean no one would ever need to replace a map….and that is certainly not true.
