Hey guys. It's been awhile since I have used any products for sealing and a preserving my cab, box and underside. I'm finally back with some projects. And ambitious to get to work. My questions are:
Are there any new good products (sometimes it's hard to tell googling bc evertyhing is a sales pitch) out there? Or is the tried an true POR and Raptor liner etc still the way to go? What do you suggest for getting into seams and neutralizing any potential rust before seam sealing? All metal will be prepped by media blast.
Depends rudy16. What is current condition of the underside? Surface rust, scale/barnacle rust, has it ever been undercoated? etc.
What level, if any, of surface prep do you want to do?
I've been lucky to score original Ford body panels with very little to no rust. Any rust that is there is surface. The only undercoating is factory and factory seam sealant.
hello,,,I am curious to hear myself as my '73 center section of my bed has surface rust. Do not plan to media blast it but was hoping to simply use a DA Grinder and then prep it. Have use POR in the past but was curious if there is something else to use as the galvanized wheel well sections are fine. Thank you
