Luckily, you are in Oregon. Where they can build footwear around his feet. And the products are so good, he could own them a very long time.
Look at some of the Oregon shoemakers. Their products are probably the best in the world. The cost is high. But your have to factor in that he could own them for 10 years, so it's really not that much. $500 to $800 shoes for 10 years, is only $50 to $80 a year. And then the shoemaker could rebuild the shoes for him to get another 10 years out of them.
I don't have the luxury of owning such well made shoes. Because I don't live close enough for a fitting. They measure the feet and build the shoes around your feet.
If he gets more than 1 pair of good shoes, and doesn't wear the same shoes every day, they could last a very long time. My Tony Lama, Wolverine 1000 Mile, Red Wing, Alden, and Allen Edmonds have all held up for over 10 years. Some of those I have owned for 15 to 20 years.
Next time I’m in Eugene I’ll make it a point to stop in , thanks 5150 👍

Just grab em Scott. The wife will tell ya the next day
Well, we are starting to get the big storm right now. The wife and son managed to get the sandbags placed at my parent’s place. It is good to have a full sized truck for hauling the sandbags.
Scott, if his feet have stopped growing the custom boots are worth the money. I have an 8-1/2 F (very wide & high arch) and my Whites and Drew’s boots made a huge difference for me. It took me 20-25 years to wear out two pair and my others are still going strong with 20+ years on each. Comparing to the 6 moths in which I would wear out a pair of Justin’s.
On a frustrating note: I broke the tailgate latch on the Bronco on Saturday, now with the weather im not going to be able to fix it for a couple of weeks.
Lol I like the weather forecast
my grandson I thought quit growing a year ago , he was around 6’5” with a smaller size shoe , now he’s 6’11” with a 18 shoe 😲, it would be safe to say no he’s not done growing 😂,
hank the problem I have is she would make me a big bowl of homemade mushroom soup 😏
@04badford , I do vote for waiting until his growth stops on the Whites/Drews boots though. Where would one sell a used pair of size 18’s?
we are not getting hit too hard up at the top of the Sacramento valley so far. At 07:30 this morning, we had 1/2” of rain at the house. OTH, I-5, CA-299 E, and CA-36 W are closed for Weather Conditions and accidents (poor drivers).
Not yet.
Wind was pretty active last night (gusting to ~~ 44 MPH), but has backed off quite a bit this morning. We should get a good soaking later today.
