Happy freezing Sunday Nor-Cal. It is currently 39 degrees here in the armpit of Cali.

It was 29 here at my house this morning. I celebrated by putting the top down in the Shelby.

48 degrees as I type this. I doubt the armpit of Cali will win any awards for being colder than any other city in Cali. However, we do make a good showing in summer for being one of the hottest.

Day 3 for Elk =0
I might be buying pinto beans and Spam if I don’t get a hit , my grandson came up from Tracy to elk hunt , it’s been nice having him , don’t get too many chances these days to spend quality time , plus showing him how to hunt and the Cascade mountains together is priceless, I think he understands now that dry walking shoes is required and not basketball shoes , I tried telling him but 19 year olds know everything ,
snow is starting to fall in the high cascades, that means I can Tract now 👍

👍

Get him a pair of those Pacific Northwest boots from Nick's, Frank's, Wesco, White's, JK, etc. I always wanted a pair for myself. But unwilling to order on the phone in the old days, or online today. They are handmade. You need to be fitted for those. I haven't found the opportunity to drive to Oregon just to get a fitting for shoes. For now, I will stick to my South Africa shoes. In South Africa, they build shoes true to that metal foot size device that you see at the mall. South Africa shoes are also a lot less expensive. Cheap labor.
