@hanklin, I hope that you are doing better this morning. Anybody float away yet? At the Redding Airport NWS station, we recorded the average November rainfall in 24 hours.
Just holding semi tight here and going out only if absolutely necessary (beer run?).
According to USPS the 4x4 solenoid will be here today. Don't know if I will have time to install it as I have a lot of errands to do, and it is supposed to start raining tomorrow for the next 3-4 days. But at least the part will be here.
Every time I make Turkey, I wonder why I don't make it more often. I do like eating it. Then I remember that it's only at this time of the year that turkey is cheap.

Just out of curiosity, I checked Amazon.com for the Motorcraft 4x4 solenoid CX-2117. From the same seller I found several prices from $62.67 all the way up to 108. Same part number, same application, same seller, all the items said, "less than 10 left" Cheapest one was $62.67. I paid $46.35 total. So, I am glad I went with Rock Auto. It took longer to get here, but it was worth it considering how much I saved. Yes, I could have bought a Dornan at O' Reilly, or AutoZone and had it the same day, but that would have cost more than the Motorcraft at Rock Auto. The part has the plastic "hood" to prevent water from getting on the electrical connection which according to the You Tube video about what to look for on the 2004-2008 series is the Ford upgrade. That is why I will be spending extra money if I can, to get the Motorcraft part instead of the Dornan part. I find it interesting that in the first of the three You Tube videos posted about the removal and installation of the part; the mechanic takes off the hood! Anyway, the part is here, and I have the headlights so all I have to do is talk myself into doing the work. LOL. My truck does not have the second solenoid to the left of the one that needs replacing, so I will just remove the nut from that side and slip the hood on and bolt it back up.

Odd. I see that part everywhere for about the same prices. Maybe I am doing something wrong.
Happy Saturday Nor-Cal. It rained last night but is currently not raining. The skies are overcast, so maybe it is taking a short break before letting us have more rain.
Strange. I went to the Amazon site and typed in the part number and never got any of the results you did.
