Can someone please post a picture of how the clip attached to the e-brake cable is supposed to attach to the truck. Mine is loose and the plastic sheathing wore through where the clip was just sitting against the frame rail. (See 2-3” to the right of the clip’s pictured position).
Take another photo, and pan more to the right, toward the rear of the truck, leaving the present wire clip in frame, but pushed toward the left of the new photo.
When you do that, I'll be able to draw a picture for you on top of your new picture where that clip was supposed to go.
It was in the hole to the upper right of the oval bigger hole in center of the pic. You can see the rust mark it left and see rusty area where cable was rubbing frame behind it.
May I trouble you for a picture of the clip in place in your truck. As it sits (without seeing the picture) it seems I’m missing a bolt that should go through the round part of the clip and the frame rail.
EDIT: DOH - I now see that explanation on the picture.
Here’s the picture of the clip secured in case anyone checks this thread in the future.

Thanks Man.... I had just posted this question a few weeks ago. Now I know where it bolts up after years of zip tying it up.

Yours will be in a slightly different location, more forward on the frame, than djed's clip shown in his photo, and in my annotations of his photo.
Djed has a chassis cab frame, and on those frames, the clip location is further aft.
On the pickup frame (of this era), the bolt hole and anti-rotation hole aligns more with the forward rivet of the axle bump stop bracket.
That is another reason why I asked djed to take a new photo, so that the difference in frames would be a bit clearer to new readers stumbling across this thread, who might not have realized that djed had a different frame than theirs.
