390 core value
I have a 1966 390 2V engine that is worn out.
4.05 bore and standard rods and mains.
Any idea as to what in might be worth???
Just looking for a guestimate.

I was thinking $400??.
Now all I need to do is find someone who thinks the same thing and wants it.
I have no use for it and I think it would be somewhat desirable because its never been rebuilt.

Gosh, an engine even "refurbed" is a guess-timate.
I have a '66 FE 410 Merc engine in a '71 2wd F250. I think it is special because of the rare 410 engine in a later pickup.
No one else I know could give a hoot.
I have a real nice '69 Olds 455 marine engine waiting patiently for a transplant into my '57 ****** utility wagon.
No one else that I know cares. I really do try to avoid the reality that I am just as obsolete as these old muscle-era engines.
and the curse is, I probably have zero core value, hahaha
I have thought about giving an "Engine List" to my local machinist, just in case he has a client in need.
But, normally the "client" goes to the machinist with an engine in need.
Keep us posted on if you do find a buyer.

But, it will take you time to sell it either way.
They made billions of these but I think we are getting down to the last few hundred thousand..... Don't scrap it.
