Still having issues. I did give the 2 connectors at the hitch a good coating of di-electric grease, removed them and the larger connector drained water out.......I saw a youtube video where a guy did away with those 2 connectors using waterproof butt connectors there and all his problems went away. Next warm day that is getting done.

The wires between the 2 harnesses at the hitch appear to match up, so I may splice those. The harness that passes through the tailgate and plugs into the harness going directly to the camera and tailgate lock dont match up at all.....

Well I am out of ideas. I eliminated the 5 wire connector at the hitch by splicing (soldering heat shrink connectors) https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...or-delete.html and the camera worked for 1 day. This morning, more of the same ole same ole. Drove to work, camera fine. Drove home and its glitchy, but clear.

Gonna open Forscan in the next day or so and see if there are any APIM faults. I know for a while I have had slow to respond voice prompts when trying to make a voice command.

Well now I am not so sure it isn't a connector on the backside of the APIM.....went to reverse into my spot at work today and it was very grainy as usual, but I slapped the top of the dash above the screen and it went clear! Time to take it all apart and reseat the connections.

Well I may be a victim of my own demise. Took the sync system apart, re-seated all the connections, taped the yellow video connector and for 3 mornings and every single time I have been in reverse, perfect, no flickering even the slightest bit. I upgraded the 4.2" screen to SYNC 3.4 a couple years ago, so maybe the video connector vibrated loose slightly. That would explain the camera clearing up when I released the e-brake (or at least flickering of a different type) or when I banged the top of the dash. Good grief this has all been so frustrating.....
