I am actually in the process of locating a 2024 Lariat to replace my 2019. I don't need a Platinum, A Lariat has what I need and want. I just am doing this BECAUSE of the 2025 changes. I was going to wait a year or two before changing trucks, but the F450 is more truck than I need, and I do mean TRUCK. The 430 gears are overkill for what I use the truck for, the tires are overkill, etc. I drive it empty more than loaded, 4,000 miles loaded out of 30,000 miles. Wish I could get by with an XLT, but I need the power seat the Lariat has. The Massage seats in the Platinum F450 are not as good, actually worthless, compared to the same in the F150, why, I don't know, but they don't do a thing for me while they F150 seats were really good at relaxing my back. My F450 sits in the garage more than anything, and becomes a road block when I need to work in the garage or get some tools to work on something else. I also hate Agate Black, its dull, gets dirty too fast and has no POP like Tuxedo Black did. I can do what I need to do with a LB SRW, and drive it to work every day because it HAS to be doing better in MPG with 3.55 and 10 speed vs the 4.30 with 6 speed, plus the newer engine is more efficient, though it does use more DEF.
Going to miss the turning radius, but its not like I havent had a wide turning truck before.
All because Ford has cheaped out on the 2025.
I have a 24 plat and I think the massage seats work great. Same as several f150's I have sat in. Which plat super duties have you been in?

I had a 2018 F150, the massage worked great, pressed in just the right spots, but my 2019 F450 seats do not. They are not as comfortable as the F150 seats were either, which surprises me since they are basically one and the same.
Then again, I drove the F150 everyday of the week pre covid, then it sat for 2 years then I got the F450 and then started driving it every day near the end of 2023, so who knows, maybe in that 4 year gap my butt and back changed.
Does anyone remember if choosing the 6.8 option on XLTs on 24s gave one a price deduction? Perhaps the XLTs also just had a hidden increase of a few k making the 6.8 standard rather than the 7.3 while base MSRP still went up?
You can still pull up the 2024 order page. 7.3L downgraded to 6.8L would have saved you $1705. 7.3L was still standard too.
- No integrated door keypad anymore, only cheap dealer installed one: I hate this. Was something I really liked about fords.
I seem to be able to add this on the 2025 Builder on Ford's website. I use this feature all the time -- so I'm nervous about the mixed messaging between some of the above videos, and the builder.

I’m sure it will let you add it, but it will come in the form of this new stick on keypad that the dealer will throw on. I’ve seen a Reddit thread where Maverick owners are annoyed that this is the new standard keypad. One guy/gal pulled it off the door and put it on the bed so it wasn’t so obvious. Just stuck on with 3M tape.
If you add the 2k inverter does it remove the 110 plug in the dash? I added it to my build and it gave me an option to add the dash plug. If I added the dash plug back it deletes the 2k inverter. No explanations on the site.
My platinum comes to $100,070.00. 15K more than my ordered 21 Platinum.
Losing the Lariat fake leather doesn't bother me much as long as the new seat material can be wiped off. I never liked XLT because you get grease in the knitted part of the material and hard to get out.
Removing the hard wired keypad is stupid. Getting rid of power tilt is worse. Hope they bring it back before I need a new truck

I install neoprene seat covers when I buy my trucks; even the heated seats work well with them on and I never have to worry about getting the seat fabric dirty.

Thats Right! Another reason I decided to go for a 24 now instead of waiting longer. I USE that pad all the time. No way do I want to stick something on the truck.
Got my 2025 order confirmation today. This is really screwed up. So Ford drops the essential "nice-to-haves" from the Lariat trim package and then increases the base price. Okay, more money, less stuff.. I get it, it's the way of the world. But THEN, they offer the "nice-to-haves" back to you. But not as add-on items. Ford buries them in the Lariat Ultimate trim package with a bunch of other stuff I have absolutely no use for. So with the base price increase, and the Lariat Ultimate trim cost, I'm paying around 7 grand more than I did for my essentially equivalent 2023. Jeez Louise!! On a side note, Ford insists that there are no commodity restrictions when ordering the 5th wheel/Gooseneck prep. Subject to change of course, especially after they have you locked in. Stay tuned in for updates.
This makes me feel better about keeping my 2017 for a bit longer. So far I haven't seen anything that has made me want anything newer than a 2022.
Funny how there are different strokes for different folks. I owned a 2019 and hated it until the day I traded it in with 150K miles. Love this 7.3 2024 . went from Lariets and diesels to xlt and gasser. Got 28k since last december and love the many changes Ford has done since 2019.
Most buyers walk in and buy. They don't know what has changed from previous years. They buy what's on the lot and what it came with. And they are happy. Very few people follow model year changes outside of websites like this.

9 times out of 10, if you mention a change from a pass year to the saleman, they look at you like deer in headlights.
