I was thinking of going back to a super cab short box as I a not a big fan of the crew cab. It’s just too long on tight forest roads. I have to do three point turns where I could just do a turn with the super cab. I’m not willing to give up box length, so it looks like I may be looking for a used truck.
I think the powers that be are making it difficult for manufacturers to keep building large vehicles. They want to force evs on us. Never that the technology is quite there yet for those that regularly tow more than a short distance.
Was this the std "backup" camera or an additional camera? Where did they put it?
It was an additional camera recessed into the top edge of the tailgate. When the tailgate was down, the cameras switched so you still had a view to the rear rather than seeing the bumper and ground.

It was an additional camera that is on the top of the tailgate, so that when the tailgate is down the camera faces rearward. I really like having that. the Std backup camera is still there when the tailgate is up.
Just tried to re-create my 2023 F-350 XLT. The Sport Appearance Package is gone. The XLT Premium Package can only be had in conjunction with the Black Appearance Package, which includes the old Sport grille, but uses the BAP 20" wheels. So, with BAP/Premium you can not add the Camper or Plow/Camper packages since they aren't compatible with 20" wheels. The BAP package does include wheel liners and spray-in bedliner (not sure if that is a change from the previous BAP packages).
Even without the Camper package, this truck is over $3k more expensive (at MSRP) versus the 2023.
I am actually in the process of locating a 2024 Lariat to replace my 2019. I don't need a Platinum, A Lariat has what I need and want. I just am doing this BECAUSE of the 2025 changes. I was going to wait a year or two before changing trucks, but the F450 is more truck than I need, and I do mean TRUCK. The 430 gears are overkill for what I use the truck for, the tires are overkill, etc. I drive it empty more than loaded, 4,000 miles loaded out of 30,000 miles. Wish I could get by with an XLT, but I need the power seat the Lariat has. The Massage seats in the Platinum F450 are not as good, actually worthless, compared to the same in the F150, why, I don't know, but they don't do a thing for me while they F150 seats were really good at relaxing my back. My F450 sits in the garage more than anything, and becomes a road block when I need to work in the garage or get some tools to work on something else. I also hate Agate Black, its dull, gets dirty too fast and has no POP like Tuxedo Black did. I can do what I need to do with a LB SRW, and drive it to work every day because it HAS to be doing better in MPG with 3.55 and 10 speed vs the 4.30 with 6 speed, plus the newer engine is more efficient, though it does use more DEF.
Going to miss the turning radius, but its not like I havent had a wide turning truck before.
Sounds like your Done with the 450, should get decent money for trade or sell out right. Good luck with you finding.
When I bought it, I had no plans as a Daily Driver because work was three days a month and didn't need one. That ended shortly after I got the truck, then became 3 days a week, and is now 5 days a week. If it got 18 MPG it would not be an issue, but never going to happen with 4.30 gearing. My 1999 F350 I installed 3.73 gears and got 18-20 MPG all day long, and it was a DRW also. Of course, it didn't weigh 9800 pounds empty either. It sat in the garage for a few years after the price of diesel went through the roof, and rusted. While this truck wont rust, it still sits for weeks at a time, and for something as expensive as this is, sitting unused, is not the greatest for it. I want to drive the damned thing!
Does anyone remember if choosing the 6.8 option on XLTs on 24s gave one a price deduction? Perhaps the XLTs also just had a hidden increase of a few k making the 6.8 standard rather than the 7.3 while base MSRP still went up?
That is what I did when I ordered my F250 SCSB XLT last month. Stepping up from F150 and wanted extra safety factor when towing 7500 TT. Downgrading engine to 6.8 was a $1705. cost savings Truck due to be built 10/14/2024, hopefully it gets done on time
