Trying to follow my thoughts from eons ago, I think I was calling out that you didn't identify/label your power connection.
Looking at the diagram above, the main interior power comes from the battery side of the starter solenoid, through the amp meter, and to the main bus on the circuit breaker assembly. This main bus is then also connected to the B terminal on the regulator.
The key switch power also is connected to the main bus on the circuit breaker assembly.
