ballast resistor Question

Somewhere between 1 to 1.5 ohms.......I have seen diagrams with 1.3 to 1.4, 1.05 to 1.15..etc etc.
I use a 1.2 ohm ballast resistor from a Chyrsler vice the wire...I think it disappates the heat better.

Look in my Gallery for the Duraspark wiring diagrams, it shows the progression of the resistor wire from the "points" system thru the different SS systems. Remember the resistor wire value is matched to the coil primary resistance so basically the coil picks the correct value needed.
