Ballast resistor questions
I am working on my project and I need to know; Is the ballast resistor the same in a 80 Duraspark F250 as a 70 points F250? What is the resistor value for the 70 points F250? Where is this resistor located?

The resistor is usually a length of special resistance wire made into the harness. The value is 1.05 to 1.15 ohms for a duraspark. I am not sure what the actual spec value is for a points system, but a lot of people have used the original points resistor harness with a duraspark with good results. Also the white chrysler resistors you can buy in the autoparts stores seem to work well too.
