Looking Disc/Drum Master Cylinder
Hi all - currently have an all drum brake setup but will be converting front brakes to disc. Was told I should replace my existing master cylinder for one that's compatible with a disc-drum setup (currently have power brakes). Would something like this work with the existing vacuum booster in my truck?

My '77 F-150 had a single diaphrgm 11" booster with original MC that powered front disc / rear drums. I changed a few items, calipers, etc .... and bolted in a F-350 dual diaphragm 9" booster and MC combo.

Just curious .... but why the swap to disc brakes?
I've had both, and always found drums OK unless using constantly on long down grades, and even they will fade if over used. Drums do "self energise", disc do not.
My '77 uses a bracket with bell crank set up, the booster / MC dio not mount to the firewall.

dunno if it's relevant but I once had a 60 Econoline do the same jerk to the left - turned out to be a left front spring issue.

Alignment faults will cause a brake pull too.I was not sure looking at your picture.

And that's also a valid point - but believe me when I say we went through everything. Either way - the kit is here; I am just missing the MC part

There isn't any reason to change anything. Master cylinders are the same other than the disc got a bigger reservoir. No reason to change it over till it finally goes bad. Some people try to claim there are residual valves in the master cylinders but I've rebuilt both many times and have yet to come across one. Proportioning valves don't care if it's disc or drum.
