When I bolted up my trans to the engine (C6 - 351W) last night I first rotated the converter so that one of the studs was at 6 o'clock with the drain plug right next to it.
Then I rotated the engine clockwise until one of the four holes for the converter connection in the flex plate was also at 6 o'clock.
Everything went together relatively easily. I torqued the bellhousing bolts and the converter/flexplate bolts to spec.
My question is this - Is there a certain way that converter should connect up to the flexplate regarding balance?
