through the flex plate. they are lined up perfectly but converter won't come forward enough. Did ford use different flex plates?? I'm do an engine install for someone the engine came with flex plate on it.Thought they were all the same???

flexplate was on backwards. Underr truck trying to pry converter forward when i noticed xmission side scriibed onto plate. grrrrrrrrrr......... how to take tranny and xmember and all that down 2x. sucks ***** .

 

Glad you got it figured out! One thing ive learned pulling-installing motors...theres always ONE thing...a bolt, a wire, an adapter of some sort, that always causes a hangup lol.
