TGIF Nor-Cal! Getting my truck back has reminded me of my disdain for red traffic lights. LOL

Lucky guy. I only get the $5 chicken from Safeway. Is it the best chicken? No. It's edible. Worth $5. There's better chicken. Better chicken costs more.

Hey Nor cal FTE friends, had to remember my password and FTE name and thumb through 10000000000000000 of pages with discussions and ended up here in April anyway life’s good , I’ve slooowed way down since I got older all of the sudden, just taking the projects that I don’t have to crawl, climb or walk , lol, we sold the Ranch and move out of state , I’ve managed to stay busy with the locals around here especially after they realize I’m a contractor, they bring out their ever lasting scroll of things they need done , mis y’all and I’ll try to check in from time to time ,
on a sad note that I just read on the 6.0 forum Sean (Yahinko) had passed away , this saddens me , Sean was a great guy and a huge contributor to FTE , so I’m greatful for everybody’s friendship and I hope and pray that you all are healthy. Scott

Wow! Haven't seen you post in a long time Scott! Moved out of state, did you? Smart man! I read over 1.2 million people have moved out of California in the past three years. Wish I could be one of them, but that is not financially possible at this time in my life. Good to hear from you. Which state did you move to?

Pigs and cows are not much different. Just smaller. Very similar anatomy when you cut them up. The T-Bone of the pork chop world. Chinatown style. Or I've heard it called Chinese Pork Chops. Once upon a time, when I was younger, slimmer, had more hair on my head, and disco was king...... at least half of the restaurants in Chinatown had pork chops. Either on the menu, or off the menu. Even if it wasn't on the menu, you could ask for it, and they would serve it. Sear the pork chops. Finish cooking them in soy sauce.

Sadly, times have changed. Only 1 restaurant in Chinatown still serves pork chops.

That's my midnight snack. Pork chops, with a small side salad. Homemade garlic aioli dressing. The way I've always seen it made, was in a wok that was so hot, smoke was billowing out of it. That way it Sears the meat quickly.

Best foods for us ,
we bought 41/2 acres about 14 miles out of Roseburg Oregon , in a small rural community called lookingglass, mostly Ag a lot of small ranches , our property taxes are really low same with water and power , and we don’t have to put up with PG&E price hikes or fires , but living in the cascade wildfires are prominent, we back the BLM forests so lots of wildlife comes through, my wife shot her first deer and Turkey within 100ft from the back porch, had a bear stroll through last year but I just watched it do it’s thing , now I know what your thinking Oregon is just as bad as CA , only north like Eugene Springfield is ok but Salem Portland I have no interest in visiting, I keep my self busy working and lately lots of river steelhead fishing, we did some cod fishing a few weeks ago and fixin to head back next week , Halibut starts at the end of the month, we are in between Roseburg and Coosbay up in the hills so close enough to ocean fish but the north and south Umpqua rivers run all year long with different Salmon seasons , I’m less stressed and more at ease for not baby sitting job sites .

Sounds like a good move. And it sounds like a nice piece of land you have.

My brother lived in Oregon, Madras up by the Washington state border. 5,000 people in the whole town. He loved it. I don't know how bad Oregon is, but any state other than California is a step-up IMHO.
