Hello all, and welcome to the best month of the year. Of course, that is only my opinion, and that is because I was born this month 66 years ago. Hard to believe I have made 66 trips around the sun already. Anyway, welcome to April!
I guess I will have to read every receipt and check the math.
Over the years, I recall that most big stores have had issues with cash registers charging the wrong price. It's never in your favor. I have never been undercharged.
The best deal that I ever got was when Amazon sold spark plugs for less than the rebate. After I got the rebate in the mail from the manufacturer, I made a few dollars and got the spark plugs for free. Spark plugs are changed every 100,000 miles. I will have those plugs after I get rid of the truck.

We've actually been undercharged sometimes. These days it's usually a clerical error where the people putting the little signs up in the isles are not in sync with what's in the computers. It's biased toward overcharging because prices go up more than they go down.
I'm so glad that we can now feely use the term as it is in the public domain. No more fear of getting sued. I wonder if the name "San Francisco" is copyrighted, trademarked, or otherwise protected. Oakland's airport wants to be San Francisco Bay Area airport. It makes sense. Fool travelers. Let them think they are flying to San Francisco. Of course, people in San Francisco do not like it. I wonder if there is any legal objection which could be raised.
My tacos tonight had corn tortilla, tomato, cucumber, avocado, asparagus, and chicken. Maybe I can call them Chinese tacos. Would that be anything like renaming the Oakland airport to San Francisco Bay Area airport?

I went to Smart and Final today. The green beans had a sign which said it was 99 cents per pound. The register charged me $1.29 per pound. I get it. It's entirely a human error. Maybe the 99 cents sign was wrong. Maybe they just didn't have the manpower to change the computer pricing. Who knows. What I am certain of, is that there is no corporate conspiracy to screw the customers out of pennies. That is not Elaine Chao and Dan Quayle make their millions.
My Dad always said that no matter what the economic situation, we all still have to eat. Even in the worst economy, someone is selling groceries to us.
I say, with much less years on earth to develop such wisdom, that we all have to die. If I had any money, I would invest it into the funeral business. I would love to be able to buy up plots of graves, and resell them later when the price goes up.
Ford driver eh? That leaves me out. Can't drive something with the transmission sitting on the ground. I went there Monday to get my truck which was promised to be done then, only to be told they had to take out the transmission for some reason or another. I go there yesterday and the mechanic is still working on it. I asked the owner why it isn't done yet, and his reply was "I told you we want to make this right" I didn't have time to argue as I was on my way to a Bible study, so I told him "I need my truck!" and left. Today is pay rent day, so I will be going to the bank to get a money order and on the way I'll stop by to find out why the transmission had to come back out.
