Heading out to the state fair in a bit.
Been on the phone talking with an old family friend and former endurance rider. They have a 20 acre ranch a few miles up Hwy 58 out of Eugene. In addition to horses, she raises Labs. She has a few pups ready go along with a couple of 18 month old. Black, Chocolate and yellow. AKC, Vet Certs, shots and chipped. We'll probably stop by for a "visit" on the way back to Bravo tomorrow and possibly have a camping companion with us at Diamond Lake for a couple of weeks beginning Monday.
Meanwhile, back at Bravo last night/this moring...........

Just getting back from the State Fair. Had a ranch gate sign made at the fair by the wood sign maker that has been at the Fair for years. They wanted to get it done so we could bring it home tonight since we'll be on the road tomorrow (today). They stayed late getting it done. Some of the varnish and weather finish is still a tad damp-tacky and its too big to take up to Bravo in the car tomorrow, so it's now in the house in a controlled temp environment for proper curing.
He wanted to change the board to a longer board so the letters could be bigger, and wanted to enlarge the graphics so they would look better. Well, that worked for us, so we let them take the lead. We ended up with a 7' board for the sign instead of a 4'. No extra charge.
That was Great! Except I didn't take into account that we had the car and not the pickup. OOPS! It was interesting getting the 7+ foot sign into the car, but with the back seats down and the sign angled and the Wardens front seat as far up as it would go...we made it.
It's going to have to stay here at Alpha until we make the next trip down from Bravo with the pickup.
Getting things around an prepped for a couple of weeks at Diamond Lake.
So yesterday morning we took the scenic route back to Bravo stopping at the friend with the horse & Dog Ranch. Visited for almost 4 hours and then headed onto Bravo with a passenger.
Have to make a supply run into Bend tomorrow.
