Back to the grinder. Left Henderson at 0510 yesterday and made it home ay 2120. I guess I'm back to coffee in the morning and not, a bloody mary, beer, or that banana whiskey smoothie I've been having. No pool time either. Oh, and I'm cold. feels like winter already.
Jim - no idea what that is. I see some solar panels. I'd put that photo in a search and see what it comes up with.

Made it to Alpha home around 0900. Found some smoke at Odell Lake but the lake was pretty clear. Seemed to be blowing/drifting down mountain towards the valley. Much less smoke than there was a couple of days ago.
Welcome home Rich. Better get some flannel shirts out. I’m wondering if we might be in for an early cold winter. Up at Bravo we’ve been having some pretty cool mornings. Dropped to 34 as we were pulling out. Sage Rat, Golden Mantles and the tree Squirrels have been absent for several days. Also noticed a lot of the ground Squirrel holes have been plugged up.
I’ve tried several searches and it always comes back with a variety of “fences” with a bunch of fence pictures. The solar panel has what looks like a UHF antenna, so I’m presuming they are transmitting some type of telemetry to someone.

Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 45 and very wet. Got into pretty much steady rain from just east of Oakridge yesterday evening. Been wet ever since. Thunder and lightning last night for just over an hour. Some of it was right on top of us. Heavy rain with it and the rain itself was extremely loud an noisy on the roof.
Hopefully the rain will keep any new lightning strikes last night from starting any more fires.
