Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 20* and mostly clear. Dad threw me outside in the cold, dark scary yard this morning! Bigfoot screamed at me and I’m pretty sure he wanted to eat me. Then when I tried to escape, I tripped coming up the stairs and slid half way across the porch. Then dad laughed at me! AND, he didn’t even have my breakfast ready for me!!! Where’s mom, she luvs me!
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Started out at 20, clouds moved in and we're up to 33 today. Wx guessers are saying some snow showers today that won't stick, but tomorrow there could be a 1-to-3-inch accumulation.
Road trip to the valley for appointments this evening and the Wardens appointments tomorrow. Have some board members to get entered into the computer and gate control system as data entry administrators so they can handle the gate system.
Took a trip down the road to Diamond Lake and the mountains west of the lake yesterday scouting out elk. Snow in the high country. Shouldn't be enough to get them moving to lower elevations. Only saw one set of elk tracks in the snow. A little disappointing. But, I haven't hunted his area since 2002, We are also looking at going back to the coast range for this year. I'm not sure I'm liking either option at this point, but since we didn't draw any of the tags for our preferred areas....
My old partner (and surrogate brother) and I hung this pole in this camp site back in the early 80's. This is also the location of his murder in August 2003. Only the 3rd time I've been back.
