Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 41 and raining cats and dogs this morning. Started about 2330 last night.
Been a long week. After getting home from Eastern Oregon, I had a day or so to catch my breath and then it was put on my project manager hat and head for Alpha Compound. We had a gate upgrade project at YCSA complete with new computer, computer program, gate controller, photo keypad and database. The idea was that everything between the gate ram motor control box to the clubhouse would be replaced. We dug into it Tuesday morning early running 300+ feet of underground cable to include CAT 6.0. Everything went well and the system was up on line around noon. I had the computer and the program up and running. Beyond a few of us that were on site, I still had roughly 225 people to get into the DB and PIN's assigned too for gate access. (Finished the entry of those Thursday morning after two 14 hour days and 5 hours Thursday).
About 1400/1430, Tuesday (after a 2 to 2-1/2 hour run, the gate crashed. While testing the Emergency - Evacuation function of the gate, it locked open and wouldn't close. By Wednesday morning the fault was traced to the motor control circuit board in the motor control box. Long story short, new board didn't come in as expected so I left and headed back to Bravo for a Friday Vet appointment with 3 of the animals. Our 'electronics guru - retired contractor' got the board in Friday afternoon and all is now fine. Just the learning curve for the YCSA membership and that has gone very well. We are finding out who reads their emails and who doesn't.
Vet check went well for the 2 cats and pretty well for Snoopy. It seems Snoopy has developed a very small (at this point) belly button hernia that is going to have to be dealt with. Not urgent at this time, but something that will have to be dealt with before too long.
Scouting Elk over the next few days in the Diamond Lake area, then have to head down to Alpha Compound on Wednesday for Dr.'s appointments and meetings with our insurance and financial advisor. Snoopy, "DA BOSS" Old horse pasture 100 yards from front door Backyard 20 fee from back door.
Morning Chris and all to follow. Spent the last week down in Vegas, did the Sphere, Kayaked the Colorado river to Emerald Cave, Ate and drank too much. Back to work for two weeks than off for 6 weeks.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 35 and raining - snowing and the snowing part is getting heavier. Still too warm for it to stick - at least here at 4400 feet.
