I know the mirror on my truck isn't stock, but it works really well, and I like the look. I've also heard the stock mirrors aren't great. Anyone help with where I can get another for the passenger side? Do the arm and mounting seem to be stock?

Doug,
your mirror arm is stock. The two pieces that clamp onto the arm are stock and of course the bracket that comes out of the door is stock. The mirro is not stock. Because the metal of the mirror is so thin many have rusted out or were damaged over the years. However, your mirror arm is attached wrong to the door bracket.
See these pictures:
NOS mirror:
The mirror head measures 6"x6". It has the Ford logo on the back. The mirror arm had a cap on the end of the tube to keep water out. Most of these I've found are rusted out. The sliding arm was shiny. I am not sure if it was stainless of if it was coated. Yours might clean up or you could paint it silver or chrome.
The flat bracket should go against the door bracket, the semi round piece is on the outside. I bought stainless acorn nuts for the mirror bolt and the big bolt at the door bracket.
I think you are missing the bright shiny bolt that goes through the big washer, the door bracket and the arm. You might be able to find something shiny like the bolt with a big head at a hardware store.
This is a NOS 56 mirror. The only difference is the door mounting holes are placed differently.
I assume the arms and mirrors aren't being reproduced. I need one for the passenger side. Might have to pull the good one off and see of I can reproduce.
Here is a Ford promotional picture of a 55 with 2 stock mirrors.
These mirror arms can be cut off if yoiu prefer shorter arms. My '54 had very rusted stock arms when I bought it from my Grandpa. I found good used stock arms and mirrors. I cut the arms to the length they were on the original arms.
The arms original to my truck. I had no idea they were stock Ford arms. I had flatened the end to take replacement mirrors.

I have called Dennis Carpenter, Mid West Early Ford and other places that sell Ford parts and ask them if they could reproduce these stock mirrors. They will not. But if enough of us make them realize there is a demand perhaps someone will make them.
Check ebay for mirror arms. 1957 and up arms are similar and might be close enough for yoiur passenger side. Some are extendable and some are not.
The small round chrome mirrors they sell as "stock orignal" first came out in 1957.
Mirror heads can be purchased from Vehicle Safety Supply, just about any size you want, and good quality also.
Happy Holiday, Mark.
There are no 6"x6" black mirrors on that site. There are 6"x8" black mirrors that are better than nothing if the stud is long enough to fit in the stock arm.
Picky, picky. The 6x8 mirrors give much better visibility and safety than the smaller ones.
I have both, bigger ones are better for me.
Regards, Mark
I'm leaning towards the larger mirrors just for more visibility. I'm so used to having backup cameras, blind spot monitoring, and proximity sensors that it might be a good idea for the bigger mirrors.
