No spark problem

while my 81 is a 302, it was given to me bc it would not make spark. i quickly realized i had fuel but yup, no spark. easy nuff, changed ignition module and still no spark, new distributor and i got my spark back. also did a coil and plug wires while at it. could be very simple. not it wasn't just the rotor or cap, apparently there is a pickup or sometbjbt in the distributor itself that was bad, so i replaced the whole unit

Thought I would give another update. Did the same thing this spring where it had no spark due to no 12 volts to the coil. Got a new ignition switch and had 12 volts to the coil but still no spark. Got sick of tracing wires and installed an hei distributor and fired right up.
