It might be the wrong plug. There are 2 different style plugs in the plug kit. They look the same , but they have slightly different threads. The tapered one is most likely the one that goes in that hole.

If a person doesn't know, it's easy to bugger-up which plugs go in which end of the engine.

The straight thread plugs (with the pointy end) will leak no matter what if they're screwed into a tapered thread hole and they often will not screw all the way in before snugging-up. Hate to say it, but this might be your problem.

Ford sometimes used a simple oil galley plug pressed into un-threaded entry/exit points to the lifter oil galley. Rebuilders often choose to drill/tap those holes and use threaded plugs. In this case they may have used a plug that was just too long.

At this point, being Monday am,, Place a call to the reman mfg. talk to the tech, or someone and tell them the problem you are having.
See what they say. they should know which plug or what they use in that oil galley as a plug..

Well i think I got it. I called the machine shop this morning. It goes without sying they seemed very surprised. He remember placing the plug in and was sure it was snug and good to go. I told him about my thoughts on grinding it down to avoid tearing the whole thing apart again. He said go for it. So i did. I crammed a paper towel down far as i could and also had a magnet to catch shavings. I bought an extended die grinder from harbor friend and some cheap grinding bits. Really worked like a charm. I shaved it roght down and didnt really leave any shaving after pulling the paper towel. Wouldn't you know it the dizzy went right in. I actually pulled it again and primed the motor really good. Didnt seem to be leaking at all. It was the chrome lighter plug. I pulled the one out of my all engine and it was the darker plug. So yes it must just be the wrong one. Thanks again for all the help everyone! The forum is incredible. Now if I can just figure out what I screwed up when i pulled all the towing light wires out and put in a 1 wire alternator. I got everything ready for cam brek in and no fire. No lighting from the key at all no lights nothing. Any points of where to start. I dont know wiring.

No idea what you pulled out from here, but maybe this will help? What were these "towing light wires"? If anyone has an idea, it will help them help you if you included things like year, transmission, factory gauges or lights ... we know 351M. I don't have a one wire alternator either. My '77 F150 has factory gauges so I kept thi, feel free to use it ... but you might get more help with a new thread?

Get the wiring problem figured out before you start spinning the motor any more. Spinning motor with no spark, start greatly increases the chance of cam failure.

I think I got it. I had taken out the positive hot wire going from the battery side of the starter solenoid to the ballast resistor. I ran it last night and bypassed the ballast strait to the brake light switch and I now have power to the key.
