Looks like it goes to a Duraspark ignition box or distributor.

(X2) W/Mean Green 92, especially seeing the close proximity to the carburetor spring.

Although, you know what?

Seeing that chain on the throttle linkage makes me think that it might be for cruise control. It's been over 20 years since I pulled the cruise control off of a car, but did the old mechanical cruise control servos use connectors and plugs like these? It looks kind of far back on the engine to reach the distributor, but it's hard to tell.

Does the cruise control work on that truck? It appears to be hooked up to vacuum at least, from what I can see.

Cruise plugs were 2 flat rubber like a 4 wire trailer connector. But that may be the plug for the cruise speed sensor on the speedo cable.

I think it may be to the cruise control. That is the only thing I can reach the plug to without pulling the wire took much. Oddly I can’t find any thing to plug it into. The truck has cruise control but it isn’t working. Back to the garage with a flashlight and mirror again!
