Has anyone done this before? I see the kit is about $200 at Napa, but I don't see any videos whatsoever on this job. Do you have to drop the axle, can it be done in place, should I sell my truck....JK! Any help, description of work or videos would be super helpful.

Special tools and knowledge required, it's NOT a DIY job.
why do you think the differential bearing is bad ? That is POSSIBLE.. but normally any noises are from the IWE or the wheel bearing ... NOT the differential..
When you start the truck, the IWE disengages and the axle shafts are not connected to the wheel... And you have the transfer case in 2 x 4 so the drive shaft is not turning... So the DIFFERENTIAL is doing NOTHING.. just going along for the ride.. You should hear NOTHING from the differential at that point.

Yes agreed, I am going to replace the IWE before I go on to other things, it is broke enough to stay engaged (stuck in 4X4) in the driver's side, passenger is fine. Once I replace that, I will re-assess. However, my mechanic put the stetoscope on it and as he got closer to the differential, the noise got more pronounced. So, I'm wondering if the constant engagement of the IWE caused some sort of bearing issue. Not sure, could it be that the IWE is making all the noise, could be, I hope so. Bearings were just replaced by me and he tested (listened to them) and they were fine. So, I'll update once I get the new IWE on, got it on Tuesday, but haven't had time to replace it yet, glad I have a third vehicle to run around in until that happens I guess.
Finally replaced the IWE, it was super easy, didn't even need to disconnect the sway bar or the shock, very quick job, shouldn't have waited this long to do it. Truck sat in the driveway for like two weeks+, but finally done. The IWE fixed everything, there is no noise whether in 2WD or 4WD, so the entire noise was the bad IWE, no bad bearings in the front diff, thank goodness.
