Just so you are aware, 1954 239 engines are a completely different beast than the 48/53 Flathead L Head 8BA/8RT 239 engines you were initially seeking.
The 1954 is a Y block engine with overhead valves and whatnot and is of a generational redesign.

Not directly, no, if we're talking about a Y block 239 being installed in a 50 F1 pickup. The bellhousing bolt pattern is different. Once upon a time there were conversion bellhousings available to do such a swap, but they may be difficult to find today.
