Inner Tie Rod Question

95 F150 4WD 5.0L. Replacing both inner tie rods. Got new Moog parts. Might be a stupid question but I searched and can't find the answer. Passenger side OEM tie rod has this safety latch thing (I assume that's what it is to keep adjusting sleeve in place?). See attached pic. New part does not have it. Is it needed? Did I get the wrong part? Is it possible to remove it from the OEM and put it on the new Moog tie rod, assuming I need it?

Thanks

I always cut those off when I find them. They get in the way and I don't see the point unless you like to leave your tie rod couplers loose.

Thanks. I couldn't really tell the point of them either. Good to hear I'm not going crazy and I can press on with the new tie rod.

Ford just wanted that one tie rod sleeve clamp to be in that position
I used to cut them off too, and just put the sleeve clamp where I wanted it
