I was looking at the online builder, and I have a couple of questions about the Trailer TPMS sensor/Trailer Camera options.
Specifically, I notice that the builder will not let me install both on the same build, which seems weird - I would think many people opting for one would want both. Is there a technical reason for this? Can both work at the same time?
The camera installation seems fairly straightforward, I assume there is some new multi-pin connector you'll run the camera wire to that will then connect to the truck somewhere, right? What about the TPMS? Does a wireless receiver for the stems need to go on the truck/trailer somewhere? Do they give guidelines on where? How does that connect to the truck?
Also, do these involve any splicing or changes to the existing truck wiring harness, or are they both just plug and play? For non-factory installations do they need any existing packages or trim levels?
In addition to the 7 pin trailer plug, there’s a 12 pin plug. These will be in the bed if you have the fifth wheel prep. The 12 pin runs the camera and TPMS. No splicing required.
The 12 pin also run the Trailer YAW control. If you get one of the trucks that helps you back your trailer.
So the 12 pin plug does three things ( trailer TPMS, Trailer Camera, Trailer YAW)
My 2020 truck came with the 7Pin and the 12 Pin in the bed and 7 Pin and 4 Pin in the bumper The kit includes a new bumper plug that offered the 7 Pin and 12 Pin for the bumper.
When you install the kit. The Trailer TPMS installs a sensor about 6' back of the the front of the trailer. That sensor talks to the senders in each tire.
The same cable "Y" and has about 30' of cable to reach the back of a trailer for the camera
I tried ordering both options on my 2024 order with 2 different dealerships. Neither dealership was able to add both options to the order. The order system will only let you order one or the other. My order is the Platinum trim, maybe it's different on other trims. I went with the Trailer Camera option.
I have a 2022 F350 Platinum Dually and it has the trailer camera and TPMS sensors. You are correct, there is a separate connector for the camera connection, and the TPMS sensors are installed on the inside of the rim, so you have to take the tires off the rims, to install them, and then put the tires back on and have them balanced.

I got the TPMS only for my 2023, however most of the kit, that is sent to the dealer and not included with the truck, is the same. The instructions with the kit are good and you change out the 7x4 trailer connector with a 7x12 connector and attach it to a covered connector on the truck, no splicing required. The included wring harness is for the camera and TPMS and are attached to your trailer as well as a docking port to secure and keep clean the TPMS/camera plug to the truck. You should consider getting a TPMS sensor training tool to make adding the sensors to the trucks system easy.
