Went to connect the trailer today and the truck said that the left turn signal lamp was out ,checked the trailer and it was working fine ,2 times in the past it has told me the trailer was disconnected while going down the road that's scary. Any thoughts???

Might be time to replace the connector on your trailer harness. Mine was doing that and a new connector cleared it up.

Mine did that and I found that the trailer plug was just a little loose in the truck plug. I ran two wraps of electricians tape around it to tighten it up and has been fine since.

Mine did this with my old trailer. It did not have the ground wire hooked up and was relying on the ball for ground. Hooked up the ground wire and never had problems past that time.

Neat idea, thanks!

My connector did that one time when hauling, I pulled over to the side of the road to make sure I was still hooked up! It hasn't done it since then, so maybe it was just a little too loose, but next time I'll do the tape.

The problem will almost certainly be the plug of the trailer harness. Sometimes the system can be a little slow to inform me via the screen that I have "disconnected" the trailer, but usually if you see that warning while driving it means the plug got loose for a minute and the truck lost the connection.

I've had a trailer work fine on my Raptor but give me turn signal errors on my Super Duty. The plug can be loose and yet all the main running lights are fine. Sometimes I'll wiggle the plug and see my lights flicker. Using electric tape to prevent slack, or wedging something else in between the trailer plug and receptacle usually works.

Same was happening with my trailer with warning and light out. Replaced the trailer plug. Made sure the tabs and pins were lining up good. Dielectric grease over everything.
Tomorrow I’ll be adding a few strips of electrical tape !! To avoid any play thx guys
