Hi all,
I'm looking to buy an F100 wreck - namely for the rear end to go onto another parts car and am trying to figure out the type of diff in it.
The ID tag is missing and by the look of it, seems like a 9 inch - but grateful for confirmation from the wiser folk here!
Looks like a common Ford 9" to me. Could be an 8", but being under a truck I still bet 9". Good luck that there is a tag under one of those front bolts. If you pull the axles, to get the spline count might as well pull the 3rd member and get the gear ratio. Does the end or face of the axles, the part the wheel center cap would cover if installed, have 2 small dimples/low spots? I believe that means big bearing rear axle. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post17374589
