4R100 Accumulator Filter Question

4R100 Accumulator Filter Question
Does anyone know what would happen if the 4R100 accumulator filter (little one with spring) is installed upside down? I just got everything back together after tightening loose feed bolts and think I have the filter in backwards. Not sure if I should tear it apart before adding new fluid or if it's a non issue.

I don't think it will be a problem. That filter is there to catch missed machining chips that are not fully cleaned when the case is manufactured. After the first few miles it really isn't needed.

TBH, I really can't remember which way I put the filter in but went ahead and added new fluid based on your response. All is good, the forward gears are back and it's shifting great.
