Hey, with VC off disconnect wire to plug from wiring harness to VC gasket. Then remove wire to #3 injector and check continuity between VC gasket plug and other end of injector wire. That should eliminate the wiring under the VC. You appear to be a methodical and patient person with your troubleshooting so I think you’ll win this battle.
I appear to be thinking on the same wavelengths as the smart people so that is indeed a good sign.
I'll post back with my results. New gasket and solenoid will be on hand.
Alright. Cool. Truck is idling back to normal and CEL is gone.
The problem was probably what some of you may have suspected, and @knottyrope suggested. Either I completely forgot to plug in the #3 injector, or it was knocked off during assembly. I did knock off #1 when trying to put the VC back on so its possible?
