I wrote in a week ago with a rough start issue. Turns out it was the pass side GPs were bad. So I replaced the GPs and now I get a kinda hard start and it runs rough. Throwing a P1316 code. Didn't throw that code before at all.
Check the wiring harnesses to the injectors. You may need to go back under the valve covers to check your work.
That was it. Somehow I knocked the front most injector plug off when putting the VC back on.
I can tell you this, whatever stupid engineer thought it was a great idea to cram such a large motor in such a small space seriously needs his head examined after a sound butt whoopin!

No, but all the other stuff like air boxes and hose routing is just plain dumb. Two of those VC bolts I could hardly get a wrench on.
It is not just our beloved Fords that have this issue ! Most makes are difficult to work on . You would think a big truck would have more room to work . Try replacing the injectors on an FL80 with a cat . Even worse put a head on the beast ! The japs cornerd the market on hard to work on . Now all are hard to work on !

Ideas???
I don't think your glow plugs were bad. Did you ohm them out at the GP? You need to do a buzz test with something like AE to get the idm stored code.
