I have a 1998 e series 7.3 powerstroke rv. I’ve got the p0720 code for the oss sensor. I replaced the sensor (on rear of trans) I’ve checked wiring from sensor to engine bay with no obvious issues. Does anyone have a pin out for ecm connector so I can try to run new wire from ecm to sensor? Trans works fine just throws the code and od light flashes. Is there any way to check the power feed to the sensor? Is it like a 5v reference or something like that?
thanks
There is no power feed to the sensor. The sensor generates a square wave when the output shaft turns.
When you checked the wires, what was the ohm reading for each wire to the sensor from the PCM? Was either wire shorted to ground or power? If you don't have the answers to these questions you didn't check the wiring. You may have looked at the wiring, but that doesn't do anything for you.
I visually checked wiring up
too the doghouse. I need the pin out to check resistance from pigtail to pcm. Does anyone know what pins are the OSS signal and signal return?
^^^^ Inteesting site----is it worth the cost for an average infrequent user?
Many of us stress about paying $15 for this type of product but at the same time we subscribe to more expensive internet services like Amazon, streaming TV and music etc. It's ok to spend a little money to save a lot (most of us know this already and this is why we are here).
