I know there several kits out there, Irate, Marty's and I think Beans and many more. They all range between $1,000 and &1300 more or less. Some have Bosch pumps while others do not. I think Marty's kit is a little cheaper but reuses the lines to the rear head. What you guys think? I don't want to piece meal it. Would rather purchase a kit.
Best is subjective. I use the Irate setup. I think best is what you can afford at the time and what works for you. Best is having the fuel bowl gone. Only problem I have with removing the fuel bowl and going to electronic is that I have absolutely no idea how the stock fuel system works or the parts involved. Because the first thing I did when buying the truck was efuel. I have never troubleshot a stock fuel system.
I'm willing to spend a couple hundred more if it means I get a better pump or regulator. Also, would like to see a clean looking setup in the valley rather than some hoses routed every which way. Also, I want to make sure that the pressure will hold up to 160/0 or up to 180/30 injectors. Mark Fugazzotto looks like a good setup. Marty's kit ok but I think they reuse existing lines up to the motor.
I think he is referring to the injectors specifically, not necessarily how well efuel works with the 180s.
if you are interested, there are several threads about building a DIY kit. You get to pick the quality of the parts but it does require a bit more reading to make sure you have all of the necessary pieces.
20768681[/url]]Mark's kit works fine for my needs and will probably be fine for 160/0. Maybe @KubotaOrange76 can post up as he uses same kit and 160s
180/30 pointless, just go to 205/30 like me if on fence. Can turn them down quite a bit.
really happy with mark’s kit.
i like the fact it uses the ultra reliable(and readily available) bosch pump that came on the 99-03 7.3 super duties and that it uses factory style fpr and spring.
only thing i did not like was how thin the aluminum frame mounting plate is.
kind of a documentation of my efuel install lumped in with a bunch of other things.
Still unsure. I see you guys recommending Marty's and Mark's are good kits. Which I likely will goo that route. But what about Irate's? Their lines under the hood route in a cleaner looking fashion? That's sounds shallow but I like my motor looking orderly. Irate's system promises that their kit will accommodate larger injects such 205's? Has anyone had any experience with Irate's/IDP? I think Irate's pressure regulator mounts to where I can't place the plastic cover back on. I think
