Crankshaft balancer problems

I've just ordered the 3rd harmonic balancer for my '96 F150 4.9L.

This one will be a Dorman, so I'm hoping to get more than a year out of it.

The outer ring slips.

Anyone else having a similar issue?

The one on my son's '95 (302) did that. I replaced it with a Dorman and have not had a problem since.

I have a Dorman balancer on the way.
