Any alignment advice?

My son and I are trying to align the passenger door as it wouldnt close completely without having to slam it, but it would latch. Thought this was a sag issue. Trying to loosen bolts on the body with the door open adjust then tighten to check, then loosen and so on and so on. Is there a better way? We’re using a floor jack and wood to hold the door in place but trying to loosen adjust, and tighten the bolts just made it worse. Thanks for any advice.

Make sure your striker is in good condition. There is a plastic sleeve on the striker that falls apart over time. Once that sleeve is gone, the door is hard to close, & rattles while driving. I got a replacement striker from the local auto parts store "Help" rack.
