06 F250 Remove Leveling Kit

I am looking to remove the leveling kit from my truck. The previous owner told me all he did was level the truck, but looking underneath I see an extra block under the factory f250 block under the leaf springs in the back. There doesn't seem to be a spring spacer in the front, seems like maybe a lift spring. It might be a 2-3 inch lift, that's just my guess though. Would there be anything else I have to change, remove, or replace to go back to stock besides the lift blocks in the back and the springs in the front?

I just put this lift on my a couple months ago....it has a drop bracket for the track bar.....its the T-shaped bracket in the middle of the pic....i think yours probably doesn't have one due to the small lift....you may also have either different shocks for the lift or shock extenders with the stock shocks....after you take the lift blocks out, your u-bolts for the rear leafs may not have enough threads to compensate for the removed blocks, so you made need new u-bolts....some close up pics of the lift may help to get a better look....

Leveling kits usually use spacers. Yours is a coil front so it should have a spacer on top of the coil sandwiched between the top of the coil and the spring bucket. they get grimy and can sometimes look like part of the spring bucket. Post a pic of the fr8nt suspension. If it’s a taller coil you’ll need to get a factory coil spring.

for the rear there should be one block only. Pers9nally I won’t stack blocks on rear. I’ll go buy the lift springs. Too many disadvantages t9 stacked blocks. If it’s a show off pavement Queen probably won’t matter.
removing the rear blocks will require you to put smaller u bolts as the ones for the stacked blocks won’t work.

you’ll either need to buy shocks if hewed shocks that were meant for a 2-3 inch leveling or if it has shock extensions remove the shock extensions.

I haven't been able to climb under to get pictures of the rear but I snapped some quick ones of the front passenger side. I haven't seen a stock setup in person so I'm not too sure what was done to lift it but there is definitely a second lift block in the rear. I hope I got what I need in the pics, if not I can take some more.

Looks like it’s a coil lift not a spacer with a set of longer shocks to accommodate the taller lift. Lots of guys cheap oit and buy shock extenders.. If there was a spacer there would be a 2-3 inch metal puck between the spring top and the rubber bushing and spring bucket. Basically imagine that rubber isolator that sits sandwiched between the top of the sprig and the bucket to be aboit 2-3 inch thick. Looks like a small lift spring. …as for the rear if it’s a stacked block that’s aftermarket. Ford well really no manufacturer really stacks spring blocks.
yiu can always just remove the extra block and grab a set of stock u bolts on the rear. For the front you can buy a set of stock springs with the rigt load range by looking at the door jamb sticker. The spring code should be in the bottom right part of the sticker.

i would say….you can trade someone your lift sprig s for a set of stockers….but you run the risk of getting some sagging old springs and stock coils aren’t that expensive. You may be able to sell the leveling kit and shocks to get some money back

Ideally I would like to just have the front level with the rear and no lift. So if I remove the blocks in the rear and get some stock u bolts and get leveling coils in the front I shouldn't have to change anything else? I've seen that leveling coils are around 2.5" of lift in the front and the blocks in the rear look to be about 2" so I'm guessing my truck is sitting around 4.5" higher in the front.

thats more of a lift kit rather than a leveling kit. Yeah basically remove the rear aftermarket blocks put the stock u bolts on and put whatever coil you want on the front (stock or leveling)

if you tow or haul cargo a level truck (static ) will squat the rear when towing or hauling.

I don't tow much at the moment but before I do again I'm going to invest in some airbags as well. Thank you for the help, I'll take another look under the truck when I get the chance and then look for the parts I need.

at this point I would go with new parts. I’ve purchased springs for my trucks before from Deaver Springs when I lived in Orange County and SD springs for mail order. Used sprigs you dont know if they were collapsed ir abused or just worn out.
While I know some do it i also never reuse a U bolt unless it’s a emergency type situation but then I replace it asap

I'd rather spend the extra money and do it right anyway. What is your recommendation on where to get new u-bolts?

SD springs should be able to get you what you need. I used to go to Deaver but they were down the street and would make them on the spot.
I replace the becaus used Ubolts tend to be rusted and depending on the thread mounting orientation they may be bent or hit and the threads are trashed or flattened or just rusted and pitted. And afaik Ubolts are rally one time use.
