Need some serious help
These places aren't the the be all and end all anyway. I've seen other services list things that Carfax doesn't and vice versa. Sometimes it's just a poke and hope.
I would keep brake cleaner out of the wiring and electronics to be safe. Some plastics and electronics are not compatible especially with older brake cleaner that was nasty stuff. Even some electrical cleaners can be too aggressive for sensors.
De-pinning connectors, cleaning connections and lightly coating with dialectric grease is the fix for lightly corroded connections. Covers and gaskets are there for a reason. Replacing covers and reinstalling will help keep mother nature out, lol. FORSCAN/OBDII scanner and a DVM can work wonders. That's what I use on my vehicles and I download schematics as needed.
I wish you success!

3 on the drivers side and 2 on the passengers side, in the cab channel on the floor. I guess the harness had mud and pebbles work their way into and under the harness and over time the harness was pressed into/vibrated enough to allow moisture into some wiring there. Also confirmed that there are definitely no factory drains there as he is going to drill some.
my wire harness was wrapped with tape so the only soooky bananas was the camera control module got wet (module and connectors). The modual stopped working. Dryed it all out and put contact connector on the connections and cameras started working.
I put a drain hole on the pax side at lowest point and will be putting a drain hole on drivers side.
ordered some 1.5 inch ribbed wire loom so I can wrap these cables bundles and get them off the channel floor (the ribbing puts a air gap ).
if the harness is not wrapped you will probally need 2” ribbed wire loom.
now…root cuase of the water is …..known ford issues:
A. Water leak from AC drain flowing back
b. Windshield lesk
c. sunroof drain that was never connected
d. Vent Seal on rear of cab that leaks
and only god knows what else.
not having drains here is the dumbest thing I ever seen.
also…don’t know what kind of kraco insulation ford uses…if it gets wet it corrodes the copper in the wire …doesn’t have to be a break in the insulation.
and don’t get me started on wire ends..not sealed and invites corrosion.
the body and engine might last 100k but unless you are out in the desert, I doubt the wires in these trucks will.
ford doesn’t own up and you only hear stories about your pet mice chewing on the word cussing this. It’s never fords fault. Just like the gremlin that runs around putting water in everyone’s fuel.

I believe most of my debris and water is brought in by work boots. In and out ALOT in wet conditions. However I may need to take a look at my 3rd brake light where my wiring enters, as I installed a strobe and a third brake light mounting plate. Though it enters on the bottom.
That said, I've never seen any water pooling in these channels, but the mud certainly retains moisture! Maybe I'll run some something as you suggested and better protect the wires, though I would worry about promoting water accumulation within that conduit. Did you perforate what you installed? If water gets in there the main drains you drilled won't do much good.

you might not need it but my use case is flowing water problems and I get the sense that just becuase it’s fix on source of the problem that doesn’t mean I won’t get a leak in the future from one of the other sources.
One major thing I would like to point out is that, my water in fuel sensor did short out and go bad, but replacing it did nothing. Turns out the harness connecting to it is a 2 foot whip and both connectors had dry rotted rubber inserts and took on water. This caused a voltage drop, and did some funky things. Like MADE MY CAMERA LINES DISAPPEAR!! Means that had water in it since I bought it! Now my lines for my rear facing camera are back and are turning with the steering wheel.
My rocket fell off this weekend and my TCM took on a tune, my shifting is exponentially better except downshifting to second is still quite hard here and there.
Lastly I am dealing with a parasitic draw but again, I was at a 1.7A draw and after my tune I now only have a .33A draw. That is odd to me.
Thank you for all of your responses!
