Ok guys, was wondering if you know of a quick way to manually release the tailgate on a 2022 SD with the auto push button release? I have searched Youtube videos and no luck unless you remove the panel on the tail gate and who wants to do that with it locked in place? Thanks in advance.
As I have never done it this is just a supposition. Inside the tail gate are the latches which are accessible from the inside of the bed.. the latches seem to be able to be tripped easily with a screwdriver or even your finger. I can't get a picture of the larches with the tailgate closed because I have installed the lid latch sold on ebay. This is a picture of the latch on my tail gate. You could also PM the author of the earlier thread posted and ask him if he has a video or better answer.
