This pissing match in towing numbers is going to get people killed.
what did they do to the truck that would allow it to safely tow that much more? It would have to be some really significant changes.
Bumper pull on the srw 350 7.3 was 15k pretty much across the board last year. Limited by the hitch itself. All they had to do to increase the tow capacity was fit a more substantial hitch 3" vs 2.5" receiver.
"get people killed' ... sigh.... Do you have some data that shows the trucks can not haul that much safely?

Yeah, I have the data Ford is supplying. I asked a simple question; what did they do to allow it to tow thousands more than the year before?
What you say could very well be it, if that was done. Was it? Are all 23 trucks now a 3” receiver?
Wow the HO 6.7 gains 100 pounds towing on the F-250! Frankly not worth the extra cost if thats all you get, unless trying to make up for other short comings. Looks like a boost of 3900 pounds for the CC 4x4 models though for the 350 SRW, but no difference for the DRW. For the SRW the HO seems like a good option, but not for the DRW, no gains at all, actually loses 100 pounds.
