I tried some LED bulbs to replace the stock, non-LED fog light bulbs in my 2018 F350. I figured I'd need resisters, but thought I'd see what would happen without them.
They turned on for a few seconds and then went out. When that happened they took the low beams out with them, and I can't get them back on.
I thought I'd try the fuses, but headlights are not listed in either of the fuse box diagrams for engine compartment or passenger side interior.
Two questions:
1. Anyone know what I did to my low beam circuit and how to fix it?
2. Anyone know where the headlight fuses/relays are located?
There's such things as digital fuses or circuit breakers in new vehicles now. Might have tripped one of those and needs to be reset via computer. Friend had to do this when he shorted out a wire adding electric tow mirrors to his F150.
Unplug everything you did to it and disconnect the battery for 30 minutes or so. Reconnect the battery and see if your low beams work then. You shouldn't need resistors with the LED fogs. Did you do any other wiring modifications to the truck related to your lighting circuits? Do the high beams still work?
