Sorry, there’s a factory plastic plug in mine at this location. I went through there instead of drilling the firewall. Seems like I put it towards the side so the hole could be smaller and run a slit to the edge to slide the wires/lines through.

I'll have to look at mine this afternoon. I think I read somewhere that the factory customer access wires that are under the dash they also come out right behind the fuse box have a plug right there somewhere that they go through the firewall at. I also read some people put a little slit in the steering column exit point where the steering shaft exit the cab. I'll have to look into it this afternoon. My gauges are supposed to be here today so, I better figure it out quick LOL

There are no available grommets on the firewall. I'm going to have to drill a hole because the only girl and I know that would have been there would be the clutch master cylinder. I'm thinking of grilling my hole right next to the steering shaft over by about 2 in towards the driver side.

The plug I was talking about is probably for the clutch (that I don’t have). By memory I was thinking it was too far towards the side to be that but now I’d say my memory is wrong.

Have you located the Customer Access circuits on your truck yet?

What type of circuit related to "Hydra location" are you wanting to run through the firewall?

Nothing that is related to the hydra. It was just a side note because my gauges were on their way and I was wondering where my wires were going to poke through the firewall for the gauges. My bad, should have made another thread for the gauges.

Go old school and mount the gauges outside on the cowl. No holes required.

Adding a ramcharger would be pretty badass too.

You’ll want to drill a hole and use a grommet for the gauge wires.

I run the fuel pressure and boost sensor wires together in wire loom up behind the plastic wire tray at the rear of hood opening. Add another 14-16ga wire and you can install a GP indicator light in your gauge pod.

I stayed up till 10:00 last night after work installing my gauges. I ran everything the same way you just described. I'll post a picture of my grommet later on. I still got to figure out what I'm going to do with all the extra wire I have. the EGT wire was a couple foot too long and the fuel pressure sensor wire was a few foot too long. I can cut the boost to the links but the other stuff cannot be cut. Not easily anyway. I also did run a glow plug led a couple months ago. I'll post pictures of everything this afternoon!

Fold up all the excess and tie up under dash or in corner under hood near computer neatly.

⬆️ This.

I usually roll the excess in loops and zip tie it up under the dash.

I start at the senders and trim the wires at the gauges. No ‘extra’.

These glow shift gauges have connectors, with heat shrink all the way down the the wires. I don't really want to cut and splice wires to try to get it to the length I want. I'd rather roll the wire up and zip tie it. I haven't cleaned up the wiring under the dash yet, but I did make a little video of the gauges and the wiring under the hood. Don't mind the welding in the background.... It's not being done on my truck. It's being done on my trailer. Putting new, bigger chains.

You're probably going to want to find a t-bolt clamp for that charge air pipe before too long. I'm surprised you haven't blown that aftermarket hose connector off yet.

Oh but I believe he has…a couple of times.

Ok, in all fairness I think it was the on the pipe side and with the original boot. But too funny not to poke about it.
