New Rig
But it came with some issues that need to be ironed out. Figured I’d hop on here and bounce a few things off you guys and see what I get.
1st is I went to hop on the highway and gave er 3/4 of the onion and a Check Engine light popped up and stayed on after restarting the truck. No loss of power or nothing. It has an Edge tuner on it and was wondering if the ****ty tunes from the edge caused it or if it was caused by the HPOP undersupplying the injectors?? Any other ideas or tips would be appreciated.
2nd is he said the light switch **** the bed on him so he jerry rigged 2 generic switches into the circuit to get power to the headlights and running lights and the other he said was for power to the radio? I also have no interior lights (aside from the map lights) or dash lights. Not sure if that’s how the circuit runs but if I get a new OEM switch it should fix everything right??

As for your CEL popping up when you were entering the highway, it could have been a couple of things. Since the CEL went away, it was likely an "over boost or ICP too high or low" code (DTC). Either way, the code should be stored in the PCM and viewable through a program like FORScan or FORScan Lite (FSL).

We tend to recommend old tuners/chips like yours be removed and something more modern like a Hydra chip be installed. There are many, many tuners out there available to you and will send tunes via email. The TS chip is still somewhat popular and supported, but the device needs to be sent in for tuning updates or changes. Although, once you find a tune you are happy with, the chances of looking for another are reduced.
As for your lighting issue caused by the PO, I would recommend you pop out the connector (wherever that may be now) for the headlights and see if the harness was tampered with at all. Splices, cuts, branch circuits, etc... If it has, we can supply you with a wiring diagram and connector pinout to repair the harness. The fix may be as simple as a new OEM style switch. It takes just a few seconds to pop the switch out, but I don't know what sort of rigged system the PO had, so it may take up to 240 seconds for you...

The dome and utility light should still work when the door is opened though.... you might check fuse #10 under the dash.
3/4 onion?
I like the updated tailgate and mirrors, now it's time to update the headlights.

3/4 Throttle lol I watch this guy on the LubeTube called Zip Ties and Bias Plies and he uses onion scale instead of throttle position lol.

CEL did not go away. It’s still up. I appreciate the hospitality and the invite, thank you!! I am aware of the Hydra and TS, I have a Hydra on my OBS and I love it. I figured it might be something with the tuner I’ll mess with it today and see what I can get out of it. Thank you for the advice!!
We look forward to seeing what you find out.
