Drivers door lock!

Anyone have a good source for the drivers side door lock, mine is buzzing and not locking all of the time!
I'm sure I can get a Dorman part, should that work well enough?

In 2014 I replaced the woefully inadequate actuators with off brand versions from eBay. I found the receipt, but the listing and/or order receipt did not indicate what brand they are. I can tell you they are NOT Motorcraft though. Here we are 8 years later and they still work great. Your mileage may vary though...

There are some "fixes" available for the actuators you may want to try first, if you can have the truck down for a bit.

The links below are just a couple that I took from the 7.3L PSD Tech Folder.

InteriorIn addition, you can try some PTFE based lubricant on the mechanisms and rod. That may free things up enough to trudge along until you get the chance to tear into the door.

If you are asking about another part other than the actuators, my apologies for misreading your post.

Sure
You will hear different things about different Dorman parts but I have had mostly good luck with them
That actuator sure is hell to replace clipped into the latch
That would be my only reason for wanting a Ford one (possible longevity)
But hell you got a broke ford one. Thing is most factory one last forever
It's like a garage door spring, they are only good for 100,000 cycles, then break
Good luck
