Nomenclature these days? I have watched videos and also in printed form, I see so many so called experts that can't seem to get this correct, Oh and not just on transmission stuff either.
Many call the conical shaped cushion spring found in clutch packs a "bevel spring" I remember the correct term as being a "BELLEVILLE spring" I just don't get it.
Isn't this what the correct term is?
Before using nomenclature I just wish folks would look up the dictionary spelling and meaning. OCD I guess.
And huge thank you Mark. I know it was called that, just wish others did as well. Like that guy on youtube that tosses and rams and bangs the transmission around.
proper tool to remove that pump housing, at 25:55, I also like him calling the stator support the stator. Yeah I'm fussy.
This is one of the newer ones he made not tossing the parts as much. He knows his stuff but?
Mark another question, I have a real dislike for lip seals on clutch pistons, they make the install so iffy and difficult. I know of many makes that use either a square ring (D ring) or even an oring for seal rings, what is your experience in the engineering department on all these?
