if you're not looking in norther CA try that, lots of good rigs there. look on FB marketplace too, I use searchtempest and watch it, I'm not sure it isn't better than craigslist.
Been repainted at least once. can't really tell how straight it is or how much bondo it has but it has potential. seems a little pricey to me but maybe they bring more down there.

If there's one thing I've learned in the car hobby is don't panic. decide just what you're looking for and wait until you find it because you will. that goes double for these rigs, they're not rare or expensive just widen your search area and be patient you won't regret it.

thanks for that advice, I'm willing to travel out of state for the right deal.
Yikes, these are just waaaay overpriced IMHO... but alas, I haven't been doing my buy/fix/sell (or keep ) for a long time. Seems everyone thinks they have a "rare" "original mile" one-of-a-kind barn find... sheesh.
Good luck in your search! I'll keep my eyes open up here
[QUOTE=steelholder;20464919]Thanks for this info ill look into each of these engine sizes.
Beautiful truck, I actually like the boxy look of the 70s series trucks although yours looks great as well. What is overly complicated about the auto trans in older trucks? I had a manual trans on my 89 F150 but driving that in traffic was a nightmare. I don't plan to drive my perspective truck around too much so I may go manual if its the right deal, but I still prefer an auto.
Traffic is a problem for the manual. Longevity and reliability are my reasons for the manual. Automatics have shifter linkage and kickdown linkage, more things to go wrong. Never owned an automatic truck until my 2020 Tundra (wish they put a stick in that thing), It would be so much more fun to drive with much more control.
