A few years back I installed a No Limit hood tilt kit on my 1954 Ford F-100. This kit eliminates the secondary latch. When i close the hood, the primary latch clearly latches. I can pull up on it and it will not open. While driving, if I hit little bumps it is like it compresses the latch striker sping, and it bounces open, coming unl
atched. I am curious if anyone has the same hood tilt kit and can advise a correction. Thanks in advance
I have the No Limit kit on my truck but have not had any issues with it. The only adjustments are on the hood center latch (fore/aft) and the dowel pin (up/dn) You have to center the dowel pin in the center latch, and adjust the dowel up and down till they hood locks flush.
All seems good, just when i hit a hump it seems to spring down then open, too much tension on the spring almost..I tried turning the driver or dowel about 3 turns in, time will tell!
